It was a great honor to contribute to the official visit of the delegation from Shanghai Open University (China), led by Prof. Hui Yao, Vice President of Shanghai Open University, to the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Mohammed V University in Rabat, during a day dedicated to exploring new opportunities for academic cooperation in the field of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning.
As Coordinator of the Master’s Programme in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning, I had the privilege of presenting our Faculty’s vision, achievements and ongoing initiatives in promoting lifelong learning through teaching, research, community engagement and international partnerships.
We were also honored by the presence of Ms. Hélène Guiol, Head of the Education Programme at the UNESCO Regional Office for the Maghreb (Rabat), whose participation further emphasized the strategic importance of lifelong learning as a key driver of inclusive and sustainable development in the region.
This academic exchange confirmed that lifelong learning has become a global strategic priority, requiring stronger cooperation between universities, governments and international organizations to address contemporary educational, social and economic challenges.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prof. Abdellatif Kidai, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, for his continuous support in promoting the internationalization of our Faculty and strengthening strategic cooperation with leading international institutions.
My sincere thanks also go to the students and the teaching team of the Master’s Programme in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning, whose professionalism, commitment and excellent presentations greatly contributed to the success of this academic exchange and showcased the quality and dynamism of our programme.
I am convinced that this dialogue marks the beginning of promising collaborations in research, academic mobility, innovation and lifelong learning, contributing to the development of more inclusive, knowledge-based and learning-oriented societies.
